US lawmakers worry Trump may put ‘boots on the ground’ in Iran

    March 10, 2026 9:20 PM UTC / Reuters

WASHINGTON, March 10 (Reuters) – Democratic U.S. senators expressed alarm on Tuesday about the Iran war, saying they were worried that President Donald Trump could deploy U.S. ground forces and noting the high risks given Russian support for Tehran’s military.

“We know that Russia is already helping with ‌intel, providing that to Iran, and that there’s an axis with Russia and China, Iran and North Korea that puts at greater risk the United States and our national security,” Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire said on CNN.

Speaking after a classified briefing from administration officials to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Shaheen called on the administration to send officials to testify publicly in Congress.

Two sources familiar with U.S. intelligence reports have said that Russia is providing Iran with targeting intelligence on U.S. bases and ships.

Shaheen and other senators said a series of closed-door briefings from Trump aides have left them with more questions than answers, especially about the cost and expected duration of the war, and whether U.S. forces would be sent into Tehran.

“We seem to be on a path toward deploying American troops on the ground in Iran to accomplish any of the potential objectives here,” Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut told reporters after Tuesday’s classified briefing.

Trump has not ruled ‌out sending U.S. ground troops into Iran. His Republicans, who have slim majorities in both houses of Congress, have almost unanimously backed his strategy on Iran, with only a handful expressing doubt about the war.

Blumenthal also cited the risk of Russian involvement putting American lives at risk. “Literally, Russia seems to be aiding our enemy actively and intensively with intelligence and perhaps with other means and China also may be assisting Iran,” Blumenthal said.

“So the American people deserve to know much more than this administration has told them about the cost of the war, the danger to our sons and daughters in uniform and the potential for further escalation and widening of this war,” he said.

The lawmakers’ comments came as they awaited a request the White House is expected to make for more funding for the war. Several congressional aides have said they expect Trump to ask for $50 billion, although others have said that estimate seemed low.

Minnesota Dem suggests studying ‘benefit of shoplifting’ in committee clash, then says it was sarcasm

Dave Pinto later defended his viral remarks as sarcasm gone wrong after Republican lawmakers expressed shock

    By Charles Creitz

    Published March 10, 2026 4:30pm EDT

A Minnesota Democrat whose retort to a Republican about potential “benefit[s] of shoplifting” during a hearing on worker misclassification defended the exchange as sarcasm gone awry.

During a Minnesota House Workforce and Labor Committee hearing this week, lawmakers reviewed information on how laws governing employee and independent contractor classifications affect insurance payments and other benefits, according to local reports.

State Rep. Dave Pinto, D-St. Paul, responded after a Republican lawmaker voiced concern that worker misclassification ultimately falls on the taxpayer.

“It is an intriguing line of questions,” Pinto said, appearing to suggest a study on the “benefit of shoplifting and retail theft.”

Pinto spoke of a recent presentation before another committee he sits on that sought to address solutions to organized retail theft.

“And it actually had not occurred to me to ask — it probably would have been good — to make sure that they would study sort of the benefit of shoplifting, of retail theft since because perhaps people are relying on that and sort of using that maybe it’s you know assisting them in some way,” he said.

Pinto went on to describe whether people involved in such activities are considered to be violating the law, and that there may be a policy question at the root of such a discussion.

In comments to Fox News Digital, Pinto defended the remarks, saying he was reacting sarcastically to Rep. Isaac Schultz, R-Mille Lacs, who had posed the original question.

“My comments, intended to be sarcastic, followed a line of questioning from Republican Rep. Isaac Schultz suggesting a study is needed on whether the illegal practice of worker misclassification harms consumers,” Pinto said.

“As a prosecutor, of course I take retail theft and shoplifting seriously. Any insinuation to the contrary is absurd — just like Rep. Schultz’s remarks were.”

Nonetheless, Pinto’s original comment was viewed thousands of times on social media and elicited responses from other lawmakers, amid ongoing scrutiny over social services fraud and other scandals in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

State Rep. Krista Knudsen, R-Lake Shore, was rendered speechless in a video response to the matter, as she put her hands to her face.

“There are no benefits to shoplifting for the people that are being shoplifted from. I have no idea what else to say,” Knudsen said. “I’m shocked, actually. I don’t even know what to say. Who — I don’t know what to say — Who benefits from shoplifting? The criminals.”

State Rep. Kristin Robbins, a Republican from the Minneapolis area, appeared to cite her region’s nationally recognized scandals, saying she cannot believe the comment was made by Pinto.

“[W]e are trying to prevent fraud and prevent crime in Minnesota and this has been an issue that we’ve dealt with as a legislature for many years. We finally got the organized retail theft crime in statute last session,” she said.

“It’s been a long haul and that’s a tool that we need to crack down on this real problem throughout our communities around the state.”

Worker misclassification has been a focus of Democrat-Farmer-Labor lawmakers in the state legislature for some time, as an effort began in 2024 to ban employers from misclassifying employees.

That policy was reportedly spurred by a construction worker who testified before lawmakers that he racked up major medical bills after a work-related injury, but his employer later only offered him a small amount for expenses and “told him to forget about insurance and to change his name and address, saying the bills would eventually disappear if nobody paid them,” according to a post on the House of Representatives website.

The man later allegedly found out his employer was misclassifying employees in order to save on labor costs, according to the lawmakers’ page.

State Rep. Emma Greenman, D-Minneapolis, authored HF4444 to ensure businesses don’t act in such a way in the future and/or misclassify employees as contractors or the like.

“Our job is to ensure that Minnesota workers have the protections that we in law provide,” she said at the time.

Can the president bring down gas prices? Here are 5 options available to Trump.

    2026-03-10T17:24:00-0400 / CBS News

President Trump is weighing several options to lower oil prices, which have surged about 20% since the U.S. war with Iran began on Feb. 28, driving up fuel costs higher across the country. But his options for reining in energy costs are limited, especially if the conflict continues for months, experts said.

“There’s not a whole lot of levers that are going to be influential at this point,” Patrick De Haan, petroleum analyst at GasBuddy, told CBS News. “The biggest thing he could do is work towards is getting and boosting confidence in the Strait of Hormuz.”

Indeed, energy and security experts agree that the most effective means of reducing oil and gas prices would be to end the Iran conflict or, less ambitiously, militarily secure the Strait of Hormuz — the vital waterway that handles 20% of the world’s oil supply. Yet securing the channel could become harder if Iran deploys naval mines in the strait.

In the short-term, jawboning oil traders and other energy investors may be Mr. Trump’s most effective tool. Oil prices fell sharply on Monday after he told CBS News that the war with Iran is “very complete,” at least temporarily allaying concerns about a drawn-out conflict.

Here are other measures the Trump administration could use to reel in gas prices and other energy costs.

    Tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve was formed in the 1970s to act as an oil emergency fund with the idea of cushioning the economy from the kind of shockwaves caused by the 1973-74 oil embargo. The SPR is intended to be tapped when oil supplies are disrupted, such as in a natural disaster.

The president and the U.S. energy secretary can both authorize releases from the SPR, according to the Department of Energy. On Monday, finance ministers from the G7 nations met to discuss a coordinated release of petroleum through the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) reserves, the Financial Times reported.

Together, the SPR and the IEA could release about 1.2 million barrels a day, according to JPMorgan commodity analysts. But, they added, “it would not offset potential losses” from halted shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, which they estimate could soon reach 12 million barrels per day.

Tapping the SPR could at least further cool markets, De Haan noted. But without securing the Strait of Hormuz, the strategy is unlikely to bring oil back down to their prices before the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran late last month, he said.

During the pandemic, the Biden administration in 2022 released a total of roughly 200 million barrels of crude from the SPR to curb skyrocketing gas prices — the largest such release in U.S. history. According to the Treasury Department, the move — in coordination with oil releases by other countries at the time — reduced gas prices in the U.S. by 17 to 42 cents per gallon.

The U.S. also tapped the reserve during the 1991 Gulf War, Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the war in Libya in 2011.

    Restrict U.S. oil exports

The U.S. has become a major oil exporter, sending an average of about 10.2 million barrels of petroleum per day across the globe, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. That outpaces the amount of oil it imports, making the U.S. a net oil exporter.

President Trump has the legal authority to restrict exports of crude oil during a national emergency, according to JPMorgan. In the short term, that could help reduce domestic oil prices by keeping U.S.-produced crude within its borders.

Over the longer term, however, that approach could backfire by weakening the economic incentives behind domestic oil production, the analysts said. That would lead to tighter global supplies and renew pressure on global and U.S. fuel costs.

    Pause federal and state taxes

The federal government currently levies a tax of 18.4 cents per gallon on gas and 24.4 cents for diesel, revenue that’s used to finance the Highway Trust Fund. Temporarily suspending those taxes could ease fuel prices.

But because these taxes are part of the IRS tax code, Congress would have to pass a law suspending them — a high hurdle given the partisan divide in Washington, D.C.

A more plausible option would be for individual U.S. states to suspend or cut fuel taxes, according to JPMorgan. Because state fuel taxes range from 15 cents to more than 50 cents per gallon, state suspensions would “provide short-term relief for consumers,” they noted.

The downside: less tax revenue to maintain roads.

    Waive the Jones Act

The Jones Act requires goods shipped between U.S. ports to be moved on ships that are U.S.-built, U.S.-flagged and U.S.-crewed.

The Trump administration could suspend the law if it’s deemed necessary for national defense or due to emergencies.

“Combining a release from the SPR with a temporary waiver of the Jones Act would make the policy more effective,” the JPMorgan analysts said.

    Relax summer gas rules

Federal rules require gas stations to stop selling a blend called E15 from June 1 to Sept. 15 because its higher ethanol content means it evaporates more easily in hot weather, which can contribute to air pollution.

Because E15 is cheaper than other blends, the Trump administration could temporarily relax the regulation. That’s been done before. The Environmental Protection Agency last summer issued an emergency waiver allowing E15 to be sold in the warmer months.

“Such waivers effectively increase the available gasoline pool by allowing higher ethanol blending, which can modestly expand supply and help ease pressure on pump prices during periods of tight fuel markets,” JP Morgan noted.

However, the overall impact on gas prices would be “limited,” they added.

Video appears to show Gracie Mansion bomb suspect purchasing fuse at Pennsylvania fireworks store

    March 10, 2026 / 6:53 PM EDT / CBS News

One of two men accused of throwing improvised explosive devices at protesters Saturday outside the New York City mayor’s residence appears to have purchased fuses at a fireworks store in a Philadelphia suburb last week, CBS News has learned.

Emir Balat, 18, purchased fuses at Phantom Fireworks,in Penndel, Pennsylvania, according to William Weimer, vice president and general counsel for the Phantom Fireworks Company.

Surveillance video provided to CBS News shows Balat walking inside and shopping at Phantom Fireworks at 12:46 p.m. local time on March 2, five days before the incident.

Video from inside the store shows Balat purchasing a 20-foot roll of safety fuse, which looks and feels like thick twine, for $6.89 including tax, according to Weimer.

Image from Phantom Fireworks security camera video appears to show Emir Balat purchasing a fuse at the store in the Philadelphia area on March 2, 2026. Courtesy of Phantom Fireworks

“Coming in and buying that was uneventful,” Weimer told CBS News in a phone interview. “Had he bought 20 rolls of fuse, it might have raised eyebrows. But buying one or two items of anything in this store is almost a nonevent. Nothing remarkable about the purchase.”

The FBI, which is investigating the attack as an act of potential terrorism, contacted the store’s national security director on Monday, Weimer said.

Balat and 19-year-old Ibrahim Kayumi, both residents of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, are accused of driving to New York City Saturday, where they took part in a counter-protest against an anti-Islam demonstration organized by far-right influencer Jake Lang near Gracie Mansion, the official residence of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Videos from the scene, verified by the CBS News Confirmed team, show a man identified as Balat throwing what authorities described as an “ignited device.”

Prosecutors alleged in a complaint that Balat said he was inspired by ISIS and told police he wanted the attack to be “even bigger” than the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three people in 2013.

According to New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, the first device thrown by Balat extinguished itself after striking a barrier in a crosswalk, a few feet from police officers.

Balat then ran away and retrieved a second device from Kayumi, lit the device and started running with it before dropping the device, Tisch said.

Law enforcement sources told CBS News that the devices consisted of a sports-drink bottle filled or partially filled with explosive material set inside glass jars and surrounded by fragmentation, or nuts and bolts.

Kayumi is not seen in the March 2 surveillance video at Phantom Fireworks.

The FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CBS News.

Balat’s attorney, Mehdi Essmidi, did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but outside Balat and Kayumi’s initial federal court appearance Monday in New York City, he indicated he planned to fight the charges against his client.

Balat and Kayumi were charged with five counts related to terrorism and possession of explosive materials. A federal indictment is forthcoming.

Kayumi’s attorney also did not respond to CBS News’ requests for comment.

(Breanne Deppisch)

DOJ blasts ‘partisan’ DC Bar complaint against senior Trump official

DOJ leaders blasted the complaint as partisan retaliation tied to Martin’s role in Trump’s anti-DEI initiative

    By Breanne Deppisch
    Fox News

    Published March 10, 2026 7:16pm EDT

A senior Trump administration official and former acting U.S. attorney for D.C. is under disciplinary review for his role in President Donald Trump’s anti-diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative — sparking outrage from the Justice Department, which assailed alleged ethics violations against Ed Martin as a “partisan” effort, and one that unfairly targets Trump and his allies.

The disciplinary charge, filed Friday to the D.C. Court of Appeals Board on Professional Responsibility and published Tuesday, centers on a letter sent by Martin to Georgetown Law last February while Martin was serving as interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.

Martin allegedly demanded in the letter that Georgetown Law provide information about its DEI practices and teachings, according to the ethics complaint. It states that without “further explanation,” and without receiving a response from Georgetown Law, Martin then announced he would be imposing sanctions on the school — instructing his staff not to hire any students, fellows, or interns affiliated with the university.

The Justice Department blasted news of the ethics complaint, telling Fox News Digital on Tuesday that the complaint represented yet another “clear indication” of unfair and “partisan” treatment from the D.C. Bar, a body they argued has continued “to target and punish those serving President Trump while refusing to investigate or act against actual ethical violations that were committed by Biden and Obama administration attorneys,” representing what DOJ spokesperson described as “a clear indication of this partisan organization’s agenda.”

The complaint was signed by the disciplinary counsel for the D.C. Bar, Hamilton Fox, whose role allows him to function similarly to a prosecutor for attorney misconduct cases. Fox previously donated thousands to Obama’s first presidential campaign in 2008, according to FEC records reviewed by Fox News Digital.

The complaint accuses Martin of violating the First and Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by using his role as a government official to demand that the university change its teachings; failing to give the university a time frame to respond; and threatening adverse action against Georgetown Law for teaching a particular viewpoint.

It also accuses Martin of conducting unauthorized, ex parte communications with the chief judge and senior judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit after he was asked to respond to a complaint about his remarks to Georgetown Law. “In that letter, he stated that he would not be responding to Disciplinary Counsel’s inquiry, complained about Disciplinary Counsel’s ‘uneven behavior,’ and requested a ‘face-to-face meeting with all of you to discuss this matter and find a way forward,’” the complaint said, noting that Martin had copied White House counsel onto the email.

The Justice Department’s second-highest-ranking official, Todd Blanche, sharply criticized the complaint on social media Tuesday, noting: “The DC Bar is such a blatantly Democrat-run political organization.”

“Thank God I’m not a member, and trust me, I never will be,” Blanche said in a post on X.Martin, a former defense attorney who helped represent individuals charged in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, has made headlines during his short time at DOJ. His path to confirmation to serve as U.S. Attorney for D.C. stalled last year amid concerns from some Senate Republicans, prompting Trump to install Martin last May as the Justice Department’s pardon attorney.

Trump also tapped Martin at the time to head up the Justice Department’s so-called “Weaponization Working Group,” or the newly formed internal body within DOJ tasked with probing federal prosecutions viewed by the administration as unfairly partisan.

Martin was removed last month from his role heading up the working group, though no reason for his removal was immediately provided.

The complaint will now be kicked to D.C. Court of Appeals for next steps and review — a notoriously lengthy process that will likely take months, if not longer.

DOJ’s Alex Pretti shooting probe excludes prosecutors who specialize in civil rights cases, sources say

    2026-03-10T17:27:00-0400 / CBS News

The rank-and-file career federal prosecutors at the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division who specialize in excessive force cases are not playing any role in the investigation into the shooting death of Alex Pretti by two federal agents, multiple sources with knowledge of the matter told CBS News.

Instead, the head of the Civil Rights Division tapped Brandon Wrobleski — a lawyer from inside the division’s employment litigation section who has no previous experience handling federal criminal cases — to work with two local prosecutors in the Minneapolis U.S. Attorney’s office on the probe, several of the sources said.

That office handles civil investigations and litigation involving discrimination in the workplace.

The general lack of involvement by career line prosecutors in the Civil Rights Division’s criminal section in the Pretti investigation marks a stark departure from historical practice, and is likely to stoke concern that the probe is not being taken seriously.

“Our democracy was built on the rule of law, and an important element of that is having a credible, independent investigation into government conduct,” said Sam Trepel, a former prosecutor in the Civil Rights Division criminal section who is now the senior counsel and rule of law director at the States United Democracy Center.

“The Civil Rights Division has experienced career prosecutors who are the experts in investigating use of force cases, including shootings by federal agents,” she said. “By bypassing them and assigning an employment discrimination attorney, it just shows that this administration isn’t serious about conducting a fair and comprehensive investigation.”

ICU nurse Alex Pretti was shot dead by two U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents in Minneapolis during an immigration operation on Jan. 24. Video of the encounter went viral and contradicted early claims by the Department of Homeland Security that Pretti had brandished a gun.

His death marked the second fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen by a federal officer in Minneapolis this year, after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent earlier shot and killed Renee Good as she sought to drive away in her vehicle.

Initially, the Department of Homeland Security took the lead on investigating the conduct of its own agents against Pretti, even as Secretary Kristi Noem made early public statements accusing Pretti of “domestic terrorism” and falsely claiming he had reached for his firearm.

Amid mounting pressure, however, DHS and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in late January announced that the FBI and the Civil Rights Division would be opening a case into Pretti’s death.

“The Department of Justice Civil Rights Division has the best experts in the world at this,” Blanche said at a press conference on January 30. “They’ve been doing it for decades. And so I expect the investigation will proceed with those parameters in mind.”

A Justice Department spokesperson confirmed that Wrobleski had been assigned to the case, but also said that the criminal section’s Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General Robert Keenan is involved as well.

Keenan, a longtime federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Central District of California, was assigned to a role with the Civil Rights Division’s senior leadership team under Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon last year.

In that role, he has been involved in dismissing or seeking lighter sentences in a handful of high-profile excessive force cases involving law enforcement officers — including one case involving a former police officer who was convicted for his role in the botched raid that led to the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.

“The Civil Rights Division takes every investigation seriously, which is why experienced career prosecutors like Brandon Wrobelski and Robert Keenan are involved in this particular matter,” a department spokesperson said.

Wrobleski did not respond to a request for comment.

A senior Justice Department official last week declined to characterize the probe as a case of deprivation of rights under color of law, a common charge that the Civil Rights Division brings in cases involving alleged excessive force by law enforcement. The official said it was more akin to having investigators “look under the hood” to see what happened.

Historical practice at the Civil Rights Division

Although the U.S. Attorney’s office in Minnesota has assigned two local career prosecutors to the Pretti investigation, cases like this one are customarily jointly investigated and prosecuted by the Civil Rights Division’s criminal section.

Under the Justice Department manual, the Pretti case would be deemed to be a matter in the “national interest” because it involves allegations of a color of law violation that resulted in death.

The Civil Rights Division’s criminal section over the years has handled some of the nation’s most high-profile color of law cases involving excessive force by police. Those include the murder of George Floyd by former Minneapolis Police Department George Floyd and the prosecution of the Louisville Police officers involved in Breonna Taylor’s shooting death.

The color of law case against Chauvin was handled jointly by the Civil Rights Division’s criminal section and several local assistant U.S. attorneys, one of whom quit the office this year, not long after Justice Department leaders prevented prosecutors and FBI agents from pursuing a civil rights investigation into Good’s shooting death at the hands of an ICE agent.

The two local prosecutors assigned now to the Pretti case are relatively junior — as are most of the people who remain in that office — and handle a variety of cases, from guns and drugs to child exploitation, several sources say.

Several sources say they are serious and care about the case, but they are not the ones who will likely be in charge of making decisions.

The criminal section in the Civil Rights Division now has approximately 10 prosecutors, down from about 30 in recent years, amid early retirements, transfers and departures for other jobs, sources tell CBS News.

A Justice Department spokesperson said there are about 21 career attorneys total, though several sources say that some of the lawyers serve as attorney-advisers who do not directly prosecute criminal cases.

The division’s new chief, Katie Neff, has not worked as a federal prosecutor in her career, which has included stints at several local district attorneys’ offices in California and, more recently, with the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, which does not handle criminal prosecutions. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she worked as a journalist, her Linkedin profile shows.

She recently took over the role after the section’s longtime career chief accepted an early retirement package that took effect in mid-February.

Several of its other leaders, including Keenan and Orlando Sonza, were recently assigned to prosecute journalist Don Lemon and 38 others for their role in an anti-ICE protest at a church in Twin Cities in January.

Wrobleski, according to his Linkedin profile, joined the Justice Department’s employment litigation section in August, after working most recently in the Republican-controlled Virginia Attorney General’s office.

Before working in the state attorney general’s office, he was also line prosecutor in the Suffolk and Portsmouth county offices in Virginia.

He was promoted as the employment litigation section’s acting deputy chief by December, a timeframe that former division lawyers say is unheard of — especially for someone without a background in civil rights litigation.

He is currently the lead attorney in litigation against the Minneapolis Public Schools, alleging the district is discriminating against teachers based on their race, color, sex, and national origin by contracting with a teacher’s union “to provide black teachers, teachers of color, and ‘underrepresented’ teachers preferential treatment in employment decisions.”

The district has asked a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit, saying it fails to allege “any proof of systematic discriminatory conduct.”

He also represented Virginia in a case filed by a convicted rapist who claimed the state violated his constitutional due process rights by denying him access to DNA biological evidence.

    The case was later settled.

“The Civil Rights Division still has career attorneys with a deep background in these investigations,” said Stacey Young, a former division attorney who founded the nonprofit advocacy group Justice Connection.

“Ignoring them and designating attorneys with little if any relevant expertise to run one of the department’s highest-profile civil rights investigations shows DOJ leadership has no intention of pursuing any real accountability.”

White House aware of Gulf countries’ concern about missile interceptor shortage

    Updated on: March 10, 2026 / 5:27 PM EDT / CBS News

The White House is aware that Gulf countries have said they’re running short on missile interceptors, and that they’ve said they’re having to choose which objects to blow up — and which not to — multiple sources told CBS News. The White House has discussed the matter, the sources said.

CBS News’ Margaret Brennan first reported on March 5 that Gulf states were running dangerously low on missile interceptors and had asked the U.S. to expedite new supplies. U.S. allies in the region were told that officials in Washington were creating a task force to get them new supplies, but the sources said it wasn’t happening as quickly as they needed.

On “60 Minutes,” CBS News chief Washington correspondent asked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth about Brennan’s reporting on the Gulf states’ interceptor shortage and whether the U.S. was prepared to protect them and to help them restock.

“Very prepared — we plan for that,” Hegseth replied. He added that Iran’s missile capability had been reduced by 90% and said that “our projections of munitions are well beyond what we would need.”

Hegseth indicated the U.S. would be able to help with resupply or “crossload for allies, if need be, always ensuring that our forces and our troops and our bases are taken care of first.” And he said that “where we can help allies, we will.”

Iran has continued to fire missiles and drones at Gulf states Monday and Tuesday. A strike on an apartment building in Bahrain killed a woman overnight, according to the country’s interior ministry.
