    其中部分邮件显示,2016年阿提亚曾致信爱泼斯坦:” Pussy( Pussy此处为俚语,指女性生殖器)确实是低碳水的。

他还是播客《彼得·阿提亚驱动》(The Peter Attia Drive)的主持人,以及《Outlive:长寿的科学与艺术》(Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity)一书的作者。

Dr. Peter Attia, longevity expert, apologizes for “indefensible” emails to Jeffrey Epstein

    February 2, 2026 / 6:39 PM EST / CBS News

Peter Attia, a doctor and author well known for his research on longevity, is apologizing for what he calls “embarrassing, tasteless, and indefensible” emails he exchanged with Jeffrey Epstein, after the messages came to light in the Justice Department’s latest release of files related to the Epstein case.

He has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing. But Attia’s name appears in the records released by the Justice Department hundreds of times and his communications with Epstein are more extensive than previously known.

Attia was recently named as a contributor to CBS News. CBS’ parent company, Paramount Skydance, had no comment.

Among the messages, in 2016, Attia wrote to Epstein, “P***y is, indeed, low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content, though.”

After news reports about the emails, Attia posted on X a long apology and account of his relationship with Epstein. He denied any involvement in criminal activity, said he never flew on Epstein’s plane, never visited his island and never attended “any sex parties.”

The last correspondence between Attia and Epstein appears to have occurred in the spring of 2019, shortly before Epstein’s arrest in July and death on Aug. 10.

He said he regretted “putting myself in a position where emails, some of them embarrassing, tasteless, and indefensible, are now public,” and went on to say, “I accept that reality and the humiliation that comes with it.”

Attia said in his post that between 2014 and 2019, he met with Epstein “on approximately seven or eight occasions at his New York City home.” He said they met “regarding research studies and to meet others.”

Included in the documents released Friday was an exchange from 2015 in which Attia had written a note — redacted by the Justice Department — that bore the subject line, “Got a fresh shipment.” Epstein responded, “me too,” with a photo that was also redacted. Attia responded, “Please tell (me) you found that picture on line … bastard.”

    “fraid not,” Epstein said.

Attia wrote back that “the biggest problem with becoming friends with you” is that “[t]he life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul.”

Attia claimed in his social media post that the “fresh shipment” referred to a redacted photograph of metformin, “a medication I had just received from the pharmacy for my own use.” (Attia used to take the drug for anti-aging reasons but said he stopped in 2018 because it had negative effects around exercise.)

Epstein’s “me too” response included “a photograph of an adult woman,” Attia said.

“I responded with crude, tasteless banter. Reading that exchange now is very embarrassing, and I will not defend it. I’m ashamed of myself for everything about this,” Attia said. “At the time, I understood this exchange as juvenile, not a reference to anything dark or harmful.”

Epstein at that point had a record as a sex offender from a case in Florida where he’d accepted a 2008 plea deal to avoid federal charges. In 2019, he was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges. His death in his jail cell in August 2019 was ruled a suicide.

Attia said he asked Epstein about his 2008 conviction in Florida and said Epstein “characterized it as prostitution-related charges.”

“In 2018, I came to learn this was grossly minimized,” Attia said. But he also maintained, “I never witnessed illegal behavior and never saw anyone who appeared underage in his presence.”

Attia is the founder of Outlive, an app that translates longevity science into personalized daily practice, and Early Medical, a medical practice that aims to help patients lengthen their healthy lifespan. He is the host of the podcast “The Peter Attia Drive” and author of “Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity.”

EXCLUSIVE: Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard detailed her ongoing election security assessment in a letter to congressional lawmakers Monday, saying President Trump “specifically directed” her to be present for the execution of a search warrant in Fulton County, Georgia last week as part of the probe.

Gabbard sent a letter, exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital, addressed to Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., and House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn. The letter was also sent to House and Senate leadership, as well as GOP leadership on both committees.

The letter is in response to one sent last week by Warner and Himes, in which they request Gabbard brief them on why she was present at the FBI search of an election office in Fulton County, Ga. last month.

Gabbard announced in April 2025 that ODNI was investigating electronic voting systems in order to protect election integrity.

In the letter, obtained by Fox News Digital, Gabbard said President Trump “specifically directed” her to be at the FBI’s execution of a search warrant on the Office of the Clerk of the Court of Fulton County, Georgia last month—on Jan. 28, 2026.

“For a brief period of time, I accompanied FBI Deputy Director Bailey and Atlanta Acting Special Agent in Charge Pete Ellis in observing FBI personnel executing that search warrant, issued by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia pursuant to a probable cause finding,” she writes.

Gabbard said her “presence was requested by the President and executed under my broad statutory authority to coordinate, integrate, and analyze intelligence related to election security, including counterintelligence (CI), foreign and other malign influence and cybersecurity.”

“The FBI’s Intelligence/Counterintelligence divisions are one of the 18 elements that I oversee,” she said.

Gabbard said that in twelve FBI field offices across the country, including the Atlanta Field Office, the senior FBI official (assistant director in charge or special agent in charge) is “dual-hatted as my Domestic DNI-Representative.”

“The Domestic DNI-Rep program was established in 2011 through a Memorandum of Understanding between the ODNI and FBI,” Gabbard explained. “Domestic DNI-Reps are distributed by region and focus on specific domestic issues of concern or interest, including threats to critical infrastructure.”

Gabbard said that she has visited “several” of her Domestic DNI-Reps across the country.

“While visiting the FBI Field Office in Atlanta, I thanked the FBI agents for their professionalism and great work, and facilitated a brief phone call for the President to thank the agents personally for their work,” Gabbard said. “He did not ask any questions, nor did he or I issue any directives.”

Gabbard stressed that the ODNI’s Office of General Counsel “has found my actions to be consistent and well within my statutory authority as the Director of National Intelligence.”

Last week, FBI agents were seen carrying out a search at an election hub in Fulton County, Georgia, a location that became ground zero for concerns and complaints about voter fraud beginning in 2020.

The search warrant authorized the seizure of election records, voting rolls and other data tied to the 2020 election, according to a copy of the warrant reviewed by Fox News.

Gabbard went on to address specific questions initially posed by Warner and Himes, first, detailing how election security “is a national security issue.”

“Interference in U.S. elections is a threat to our republic and a national security threat,” she writes. “The President and his Administration are committed to safeguarding the integrity of U.S. elections to ensure that neither foreign nor domestic powers undermine the American people’s right to determine who our elected leaders are.”

Gabbard said that President Trump “tasked ODNI with taking all appropriate actions” under her statutory authorities towards “ensuring the integrity of our elections and specifically directed by observance of the execution of the Fulton County search warrant.”

Gabbard again noted that ODNI has been “actively reviewing intelligence reporting and assessments on election integrity” since she took office.

“As part of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center’s responsibility to lead, manage, and coordinate counterintelligence matters related to election security, NCSC personnel traveled with me to Fulton County to support this effort,” Gabbard wrote. “They were not present during the execution of the warrant.”

Gabbard goes on to stress that the DNI has “broad authority to coordinate, integrate, and analyze intelligence related to election security.” Gabbard also added that ODNI is “the lead intelligence agency in the Joint Cyber Planning Office,” which coordinates and oversees the nation’s strategy to secure critical cyber infrastructure, “including cyber infrastructure used for elections.”

Gabbard also told lawmakers that ODNI “will not irresponsibly share incomplete intelligence assessments concerning foreign or other malign interference in U.S. elections.”

“As I publicly stated on 10 April 2025, there is information and intelligence reporting suggesting that electronic voting systems being used in the United States have long been vulnerable to exploitation that could result in enabling determined actors to manipulate the results of the votes being cast with the intent of changing the outcome of an election,” she wrote.

“ODNI and the IC continue to collect and assess all available intelligence concerning this threat to ensure the security and integrity of our elections,” she said.

In April 2025, Gabbard said ODNI is investigating election integrity. She said, at the time, that ODNI had “evidence of how electronic voting systems have been vulnerable to hackers for a very long time and vulnerable to exploitation, to manipulate the results of the votes being cast.” Gabbard made the comments during a Cabinet meeting, stressing to the president that the information “further drives forward your mandate to bring about paper ballots across the country so that voters can have faith in the integrity of our elections.”

Meanwhile, in the letter, Gabbard explained that the process of assessing the intelligence “ensures that the IC’s finished intelligence products are objective, independent of political considerations, and based on all available sources.”

“I will share our intelligence assessments with Congress once they are complete,” she said.

Gabbard said that the National Security Act of 1947 specifically highlights that the law does “not require that the president obtain approval from the congressional intelligence committees before initiating a significant intelligence activity.”

“Moreover, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia issued the search warrant on the Office of the Clerk of The Court of Fulton County under seal,” she writes. “As such, I have not seen the warrant or the evidence of probable cause that the DOJ submitted to Court for approval.”

She added: “Therefore, the ODNI had no ability, authority, or responsibility to inform the committees about the search warrant ahead of its execution.”

President Trump last week touted Gabbard on her work to protect elections in the U.S.

“She’s working very hard on trying to keep the election safe. And she’s done a very good job,” Trump said. “And they, as you know, they got into the votes, you got a signed judge’s order in Georgia…And you’re going to see some interesting things happening. They’ve been trying to get there for a long time.”

Meanwhile, the Justice Department sued Fulton County in December seeking access to ballots related to the 2020 lawsuit, though the FBI’s search appears unrelated.

Fulton County is fighting the lawsuit and says the Justice Department has not made a valid argument for accessing the records.

United Airlines is set to upgrade its reservation system. Here’s what that means for travelers.

    February 2, 2026 / 6:56 PM EST / CBS News

United Airlines is planning a major technology update that will take down its online reservation system early Wednesday.

The carrier is urging passengers with flights scheduled to depart on Wednesday to check in via United’s website or mobile app on Tuesday to avoid encountering problems. United expects the outage to last roughly four and a half hours, beginning Wednesday at 2:30 a.m. EDT and lasting until 6 a.m. EDT.

An alert on United’s homepage informs travelers that it is “conducting a planned technology upgrade” and that many of its web and app services will not be available during that time, including for employees of the airline.

United is modernizing its aging mainframe flight reservation system, known as Shares. The upgrade requires the airline to transfer reservation data from its current data center in North Carolina to a more high-tech facility in Chicago that the airline said will improve reliability.

Here’s what United customers should know about United’s reservation system upgrade.

What if I am flying on Wednesday?

United’s flight schedule will be temporarily unavailable starting early Wednesday morning. Customers also won’t be able to make new reservations, cancel bookings, check in for flights or retrieve their itineraries.

As such, the airline is urging anyone scheduled to fly on Wednesday morning to check in on Tuesday. That is also when passengers should check bags, which fliers can typically do up to four hours before departure.

The reservation system refresh has been planned for some time, with United canceling impacted flights months ago. The airline notified customers of the changes, affecting roughly 600 flights, at the time.

Customers can still book, complete check-in or make changes to their trips prior to Feb. 4 at 2:30 a.m. EDT, or once the data transfer is completed.

    What could go wrong?

United has rehearsed the data migration process, so things should go smoothly, the airline told CBS News. Travel experts expect relatively little disruption.

“Don’t freak out if you can’t search for flights in the middle of the night,” Scott Keyes, founder and CEO of flight deals website Going.com, told CBS News. “It will come back online soon.’

Of course, if the upgrade doesn’t go as planned, it could spell headaches for customers. Roughly a decade ago, Southwest Airlines suffered a computer outage that dragged on for days, leading to hundreds of flight cancellations and thousands more delays.

Pool/AP

Texas Senate candidate James Talarico’s campaign roiled as he denies referring to ex-rival as ‘mediocre Black man’

With now just a month to go until Election Day, the Democratic primary for US Senate in Texas has become so fraught that a TikToker’s accusations have roiled the race and prompted a major endorsement in the backlash.

The incident started Sunday night when Morgan Thompson posted a video recounting what she says was a comment Texas state Rep. James Talarico made to her in a private conversation in January: that he called his onetime opponent, former US Rep. Colin Allred, a “mediocre Black man.”

Talarico’s campaign released a statement from the candidate on Monday calling Thompson’s claims “a mischaracterization of a private conversation,” going on to explain, “I described Congressman Allred’s method of campaigning as mediocre — but his life and service are not.” Thompson acknowledged that she didn’t have a recording and that they had previously agreed to treat their conversation as off the record.

But the accusation slammed Talarico’s campaign on Monday, sending aides into a flurry and prompting Allred — who dropped out of the Senate race when Rep. Jasmine Crockett decided to make a last-minute entry — to endorse her in the intense race, despite frustrations he had in December that she had chased him out of the race by getting in. It also renewed the questions about identity politics and electability that have riven the primary and the Democratic Party more broadly.

Thompson alleges that Talarico, who is White, said: “I signed up to run against a mediocre Black man, not a formidable, intelligent Black woman.”

Talarico, in his statement denying the exact wording as Thompson relayed it, said, “I understand how my critique of the Congressman’s campaign could be interpreted given this country’s painful legacy of racism, and I care deeply about the impact my words have on others.”

In an interview on Monday evening, Allred told CNN he felt the campaign’s statement is “an admission that he said what he said,” and expressed surprise that he hadn’t heard from Talarico directly.

“I responded not just on my behalf, but on behalf of Black candidates around the country that even if you run six points ahead of your presidential candidate, you’re still called ‘mediocre,’” Allred said, referring to his results in the 2024 Senate race as compared to Kamala Harris in the state. (Allred outperformed Harris by about five points.)

What Talarico is accused of saying

Thompson told CNN that she had been turned on to Talarico’s campaign by a friend last fall and preferred him over Allred. After attending an event of his in Dallas, she started using her social media following to boost him. Talarico’s staff reached out about her video from the rally, she said, and was soon feeding her information like fundraising numbers and clips from his “Jubilee” online debate to help.

“It was like a symbiotic kind of thing. I wasn’t paid by the campaign at all,” Thompson said, though, “I was in constant communication with the campaign.”

Thompson said the relationship started to break down after she got a fundraising text for Talarico, signed by the Democratic strategist James Carville, who has been urging Democrats to start moving away from identity politics. Thompson said she saw that as an implicit critique of Black women, and that when she raised her frustrations with the campaign, an aide offered her to have a conversation with Talarico — either on camera for her to post, or “off the record,” as what was meant to be a private conversation.

She says she opted for the less formal conversation, without a recording. But she says she remembers the exchange, which took place backstage before a town hall in Plano on January 12, very well. Thompson said she raised concerns about the association with Carville and suggested that maybe he was chasing a big name, prompting Talarico to say, “So you’re concerned about me being a sell out?” She said she told him he was overlooking the racial dynamics he’d tipped into, prompting him to say, “I have blind spots.”

Campaign spokesman JT Ennis confirmed the association with Thompson — “the Talarico campaign works with lots of creators in Texas to keep them updated on the campaign,” he said — and that they did speak before the Plano event. But Ennis told CNN Talarico does not recall making either of those statements, and that his version was backed up by an aide whom both said was in the room but was not made available for an interview.

The conversation turned, Thompson said, when she mentioned to Talarico online chatter she was seeing from people wishing he had run for governor instead — an option he had considered before launching the Senate run and was urged to reconsider when Crockett jumped into the race late.

“That is when he said, ‘I signed up to run against a mediocre black man, not a formidable, intelligent Black woman,’” Thompson said, “That is a direct quote.”

Thompson also accused Talarico’s campaign of trying to silence her, claiming that her Instagram account had disappeared and her Threads account had been suspended within minutes of when she posted a video about her claims. Thompson does not know how this would have happened, she acknowledged, given that no one on the campaign has her password, but “It’s just too many factors in play. It’s just too many abnormalities. The timing of it was so fast.”

As for Thompson’s claims about the social media accounts being closed, Ennis said, “No. We do not have that kind of power, nor would we ever do that.”

    How Allred responded

Shortly after Thompson’s video went viral, Allred posted his own video ripping Talarico.

“Let me just give you some free advice, James,” Allred said. “If you want to compliment Black women, just do it. Just do it. Don’t do it while also tearing down a Black man.”

He also suggested Talarico, a Presbyterian seminarian, was getting unfair attention for his discussion on the campaign trail of Christianity and how Democrats can make inroads with religious voters.

“We don’t need you,” he said. “You’re not saying anything unique. You’re just saying it looking like you do.”

The Senate primary is March 3. Allred is also on the ballot that day, in a House primary against Rep. Julie Johnson that he entered after leaving the Senate race.

Clemson basketball player’s teammates pool money to bring her mom from overseas for surprise visit

    February 2, 2026 / 8:04 PM EST / CBS News

For Rusne Augustinaite, home is more than 5,000 miles away.

The 22-year-old junior guard at Clemson University grew up in Lithuania, far from where she’s become one of the best three-point shooters in the Atlantic Coast Conference. And while she has now spent years playing in the U.S., one person has never seen her play a college game in person: her mom.

Travel costs and work obligations kept her mother, Rasa, at home. That was until Augustinaite’s teammates stepped in to help.

After learning how much she missed her family, the Tigers quietly pooled their own money for an unforgettable surprise.

Video of the sweet moment shows Rasa knocking on the door. Augustinaite answers, looking confused for a moment before realizing her mom was standing in front of her. The two come together for an emotional embrace as teammates cheer on in support.

“I don’t know how it didn’t … slip or someone didn’t text it in the wrong group chat or something,” Augustinaite told CBS News. “But they did a great job, and it’s all because of my teammates, and I’m just so happy to have them.”

The reunion was made even sweeter after what happened during Augustinaite’s next game.

With her mom watching from the stands, she delivered one of the best performances of the year, scoring a season-high 21 points as Clemson defeated Southern Methodist University. After the final buzzer, she got the best victory celebration of all — a post-game hug from mom.

Clintons agree to testify after House threatens contempt in Jeffrey Epstein probe

House Oversight Committee examining what Bill and Hillary Clinton knew about Jeffrey Epstein and associate Ghislaine Maxwell

Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have agreed to testify in the House Oversight Committee’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation after lawmakers moved toward holding them in criminal contempt of Congress.

The committee said in a post on X that the Clintons were “trying to dodge contempt by requesting special treatment,” adding that “The Clintons are not above the law.”

Angel Ureña, deputy chief of staff to Bill Clinton, confirmed in a post on X that both Clintons will appear before the panel.

“They negotiated in good faith. You did not,” Ureña wrote. “But the former president and former Secretary of State will be there and look forward to setting a precedent that applies to everyone.”

The committee is examining what the Clintons may have known about Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, including scrutiny of Hillary Clinton’s role overseeing U.S. efforts to combat international sex trafficking while serving as Secretary of State.

A source familiar sent Fox News Digital text of the email the Clintons’ attorneys sent to the House Oversight Committee confirming they would testify on terms set by Chairman James Comer, R-Ky.

“Please be advised, and please advise the Chairman, that my clients accept the terms of your letter and will appear for depositions on mutually agreeable dates,” the text read. “As has been the Committee’s practice, please confirm the House will not move forward with contempt proceedings, as the Chairman stated in his letter this morning.”

[CLINTON SPOKESMAN LASHES OUT AT COMER OVER EPSTEIN PROBE AS CONTEMPT VOTE NEARS]

Ranking member Robert Garcia said the message amounted to full compliance with the committee’s demands.

“I mean, they sent us and the Republicans affirmation that they’ve accepted every single term that James Comer has asked for, and that they’re willing to come in and testify,” Garcia said.

Comer, however, disputed that characterization, telling Fox News Digital the agreement lacked specificity.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., speaks to the media in the Rayburn House Office Building on July 24, 2025, in Washington, DC.(Kevin Dietsch/Getty Images)

“The Clintons’ counsel has said they agree to terms, but those terms lack clarity yet again, and they have provided no dates for their depositions,” Comer said. “The only reason they have said they agree to terms is because the House has moved forward with contempt. I will clarify the terms they are agreeing to and then discuss next steps with my committee members.”

The Clintons’ change of heart led the House to temporarily pause proceedings on holding them in contempt on Monday night.

The House Rules Committee, the final gatekeeper before most legislation gets a chamber-wide vote, had been preparing to advance the contempt resolutions but abruptly changed course late Monday. It’s not clear when the postponed effort will continue, or if it will.

Democrats on the committee have pointed out that Comer has not pushed to hold others who did not appear in contempt, nor has he made any threats against the DOJ for failing to produce all of its documents on Epstein by a deadline agreed to by Congress late last year. The department has produced a fraction of the documents expected so far.
