A new analysis of social media activity during the opening days of Operation Epic Fury suggests that much of the online backlash and anti-Israel content may not have been driven by Americans at all.

The report identified recurring narratives pushed by foreign-based accounts, including claims that the operation was a “betrayal of MAGA,” “highly unpopular with the American people” and carried out “on behalf of Israel.”

Sixty percent of the most viral posts on X mentioning “Iran” during the first week of the operation originated from accounts based outside the United States — despite often presenting themselves as American voices, according to research conducted by Argyle Consulting Group, a private intelligence and data analysis firm.

“These aren’t just random opinions,” Eran Vasker, CEO and co-founder of Argyle Consulting Group, told Fox News Digital.

“What we’re seeing is discourse that looks American — written in English, using U.S. political language — but is actually coming from outside the country … almost impossible for a regular user to detect,” Vasker said, explaining that the accounts “look very American” and mirror domestic political language and debates.

The analysis examined 100 highly X viral posts — each with more than 10,000 shares — between Feb. 28 and March 7. In total, posts containing the word “Iran” generated 98 million posts, 696.4 million interactions, and an estimated 1.5 trillion potential views, making it one of the largest online information events on record.

Foreign accounts alone generated 155.6 million views, compared to 93.4 million from U.S.-based accounts, outpacing them by more than 60 million views in the sample.

Even more striking, every single foreign-based post in the dataset was negative toward the operation, while the only supportive content came from U.S.-based users, Argyle found.

JP Castellanos, Binary Defense director of threat intelligence and a former member of U.S. Central Command’s Active Cyber Defense Team, said much of the activity is focused on Israel and combines disruption with messaging.

“About 42% of the attacks that we’re seeing or the claims that we’re seeing online are directed toward Israel,” Castellanos said.

He also pointed to doxing campaigns and AI-generated videos “trying to basically shape the information space.”

Much of the challenge, Castellanos said, is distinguishing real cyber incidents from inflated online claims by hacktivist groups seeking attention.

“A lot of times, these are just claims that they put online,” he said.

Researchers said the scale, consistency and geographic spread of the messaging point to a coordinated effort rather than organic global debate.

Cyber threat analysts say that an online narrative campaign is unfolding alongside broader activity by pro-Iranian and aligned groups across the digital space.

One of the most prominent groups to emerge in the current conflict, Castellanos said, is Handala, an Iran-linked hacking operation that has claimed responsibility for attacks on both U.S. and Israeli targets.

Among the most influential voices driving engagement, seven of the top 10 accounts were based outside the United States, including accounts linked to Russia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and South Asia.

U.S. authorities and cybersecurity firms have linked Handala to Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security, describing it as part of a broader effort combining cyberattacks with psychological and information operations.

The cybersecurity researchers told Fox News Digital Handala is part of a wider network of Iran-aligned and pro-Russian hacktivist groups that have mobilized since the start of the war, blending disruptive cyber activity with narrative-shaping campaigns online.

    Kevin Lamarque/

U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) speaks during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee about Former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s criminal investigation of U.S. President Donald Trump, on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on January 22, 2026.

    Kevin Lamarque/Reuters

Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin asserted in a new letter that newly released Justice Department files show that prosecutors once considered whether President Donald Trump had improperly retained classified material relevant to his business interests after his first term.

Raskin said the Justice Department had revealed the consideration in a batch of material it turned over to Congress on Special Counsel Jack Smith’s classified documents case against Trump. But Raskin’s assertions about the disclosure drew swift and immediate pushback from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who asserted on Wednesday the congressman was seizing on “untrue and salacious claims” that were not a part of the charges against Trump. And a separate source familiar with the case told CNN the consideration of Trump’s business interests was “speculative” and did not ultimately play a major role in the criminal case.

Raskin, though, said the disclosures raised important questions. And he accused the Department of Justice of potentially breaking the law by sharing documents with Congress related to the classified documents case that had been barred from release by a federal judge. Earlier this year, a Trump-appointed federal judge blocked the release of Smith’s final report on Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified records.

    Ad Feedback

Raskin’s letter is the latest salvo in a simmering dispute with Republicans who want to discredit Smith and his prosecutions of Trump. Democrats argue the documents both underscore politicized releases of information by the Justice Department and shed more light on Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents. Trump has long said the case against him was part of a broader political attack from the left and repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, and the Justice Department called Raskin’s letter a “cheap political stunt” which contained “baseless” accusations.

    Concerns over DOJ’s releases

In the letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Raskin said that DOJ provided several documents related to the case to the House Judiciary Committee on March 13 that included non-public information “apparently barred from release” because Judge Aileen Cannon had ordered the material to remain under seal .

“A significant portion of the pages in one production are marked ‘Contains 6(e) and Sealed Material’—material that would be a crime for DOJ prosecutors to disclose to third parties, including to Congress. This document not only seemingly actually contains grand jury material, it obliterates the government’s own argument before Judge Cannon,” Raskin wrote. “6e” material refers to grand jury information and is named after the law that strictly prohibits it from becoming public.

The assertion comes as the Justice Department has also argued recently in court that more information than what was revealed by Smith in the criminal indictments should stay secret.

Raskin argued that DOJ made the latest disclosure to congressional Republicans as part of a “campaign of retribution” against the prosecutors who conducted the federal probes into Trump and claimed that the release that DOJ recently made to the House Judiciary Committee was “cherry-picked.”

But Raskin also pointed to assertions in the material that might be damaging for Trump.

“Apparently blinded by the frenzied search to find any scrap of evidence that could be twisted and distorted to level an attack against Special Counsel Smith (despite constantly coming up empty-handed), you have, quite amazingly, missed the fact that some of the documents you provided include damning evidence about your boss’s conduct and may well violate the gag order your DOJ and Donald Trump demanded from Judge Aileen Cannon,” Raskin wrote.

A memorandum DOJ turned over to Congress, for example, captures how the prosecutors and FBI were determining if classified documents recovered from Mar-a-Lago could have related to Trump’s financial dealings.

“FBI has already since found both—that classified documents were commingled with documents created after Trump left office and that there are classified documents that would be pertinent to certain business interests,” the memo said, according to a copy reviewed by CNN.

The memo also described possible factors that could aid in strengthening the case and become evidence of willfulness.

One factor, the memo said: “Trump possessed classified documents pertinent to his business interests—establishing a motive for retaining them. We must have those documents.”

The theory that Trump had a business interest in some of the classified documents he kept from his first presidency never become central to the criminal mishandling and obstruction charges Smith brought in court against the former president. And prosecutors from Smith’s office never argued in court Trump’s business was part of motives.

The FBI had found a document or documents that related to a country Trump might have had a business interest in, according to a person familiar with the Smith investigation. But it was a speculative investigative avenue, and never amounted to much for the case itself, the person told CNN.

The classified documents case against Trump ended in 2024 prior to a trial, when a Trump-appointed judge in Florida decided Smith’s office didn’t have prosecutorial authority. The Judge, Aileen Cannon, decided the office lacked congressional approval.

Raskin also wrote that the documents reinforced the sensitive nature of what Trump was alleged to have withheld.

In the memorandum, prosecutors wrote that Trump retained documents that were “highly sensitive” and “the type of documents that only presidents and officials with the most sensitive authority have,” with one document only accessible by potentially just six people, including the president.

The documents shared with Congress also assert that Susie Wiles, now Trump’s chief of staff, was on a plane when Trump allegedly showed a classified map to individuals on board. At the time, she was serving as the CEO of Trump’s Super PAC, according to Raskin’s letter. Investigators were known to have scrutinized Trump’s alleged showing of a map that contained classified information to others, including Wiles.

Raskin asked Bondi to respond to a host of questions, including who else Trump showed the map to and what documents were so sensitive that only six people in the entire federal government had access to them.

Raskin also called on Bondi to release all remaining investigative materials by April 14 subject to all rules regarding grand jury secrecy.

The Justice Department said in its statement that “it is no surprise that (Jack Smith’s) files contain salacious and untrue claims about President Trump. The accusations Raskin makes are baseless. Judge Cannon’s protective order was not violated, and none of the documents produced by DOJ violated 6e as none of them disclosed matters occurring before a grand jury.”

Some of the materials shared with Congress contain the label: “Privileged & Confidential, Contains 6(e) and Sealed Material” according to documents reviewed by CNN. The Justice Department said “documents marked ‘6e’ contained redactions of any 6e material.”

Abigail Jackson, a White House spokesperson, meanwhile, said that the president “did nothing wrong, which is why he easily defeated the Biden DOJ’s unprecedented lawfare campaign against him and then won nearly 80 million votes in a landslide election victory.”

    Another alleged improper disclosure

The issue of court-ordered secrecy around investigative records from the special counsel’s investigations of Trump are becoming more of an issue as Capitol Hill Republicans continue to press on Smith’s office’s work.

While Raskin accused DOJ of potentially improperly disclosing court secrets to the House Judiciary Committee, two former federal prosecutors who were top deputies of the special counsel have accused DOJ of improperly disclosing court secrets from the Smith investigation to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Smith’s deputy, JP Cooney, and another top former prosecutor Molly Gaston made a formal complaint in November to the Justice Department inspector general, saying the department may have improperly released nearly 200 grand jury subpoenas to the Senate. They claim only Justice Department officials would have had access to the subpoenas, according to the complaint they made, which was reviewed by CNN.

A Justice Department spokesperson said none of the documents obtained by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley disclosed grand jury material, and that material from Smith’s investigation now in the Senate’s possession was “lawfully disclosed.”

Republicans on Capitol Hill, however, say prosecutors under Smith were in the wrong for what’s revealed in the documents, arguing the prosecutors shouldn’t have used typical investigative techniques in tracing members of Congress’ contacts around the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.

Justice Department prosecutors are bound from disclosing grand jury records without court approval, and court records that are under seal, like Volume II of Smith’s final report, would need a judge’s approval to be disclosed by any party who might have the documents.

Congress enjoys immense Constitutional protections and wouldn’t be bound by grand jury secrecy rules or court orders on Justice Department documents they obtain in their own investigations.

Smith’s team is bound by grand jury secrecy rules and court sealing orders and thus has declined to speak in more detail about parts of their investigation during recent congressional testimony, out of fear of criminal prosecution.

Trump has repeatedly called for his Justice Department to pursue his political enemies, including Smith.

Raskin presses Jordan to subpoena Lewandowski over $220 million DHS ad campaign | Fox News

By Adam Pack | Fox News
    Published March 25, 2026 12:00pm EDT

Congressional Democrats are pressing the Republican-controlled House to subpoena Corey Lewandowski — former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s top advisor — over his alleged role in a controversial border security ad campaign that prompted bipartisan criticism.

House Judiciary Committee ranking member Jamie Raskin, D-Md., and Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Co., sent a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Wednesday demanding the committee launch an investigation and require Lewandowski to sit for a deposition.

The lawmakers argue the matter is an urgent taxpayer oversight issue and want Jordan to compel witness testimony and documents related to Lewandowski’s influence over the ad campaign.

“We urge you to use the Committee’s subpoena power to compel production of documents and communications regarding Mr. Lewandowski’s role in awarding these contracts and require Mr. Lewandowski to appear before the Committee for a deposition,” the Democratic lawmakers wrote. “Mr. Lewandowski was at the center of the Department’s advertising spending and is the person best positioned to explain how a quarter of a billion dollars in taxpayer money was spent.”

The DHS ad campaign that prominently featured Noem — including a scene of the former secretary on horseback at Mount Rushmore — upset some GOP lawmakers, who voiced concerns about whether there was a competitive bidding process and whether the infomercials were a smart use of taxpayer dollars.

Lawmakers in both chambers grilled Noem on the topic during back-to-back hearings earlier in March, during which she testified under oath that the ad campaign had been approved through the standard competitive bid process and disputed that its purpose was to boost her public profile.

Noem also told members of Congress that Lewandowski had “no” role in signing off on DHS contracts, but Raskin and Neguse point to reporting that appears to show the top advisor approving numerous contracts at the department.

In the letter, the Democratic lawmakers singled out three businesses that received the $220 million ad contract, which multiple reports have found bypassed the traditional competitive bidding process.

Noem also claimed under oath that the ad campaign had President Donald Trump’s approval only for him to contradict her testimony in an interview with Reuters.

Raskin has accused Noem of perjury and has recommended that criminal charges be brought against the secretary for lying to Congress.

The Democrat-authored letter comes as Jordan has expressed concern about the ad campaign’s $220 million price tag. The lawmakers reference Jordan telling the New York Post earlier in March that “we’ll take a look at it.”

The House Homeland Security Committee has also said it is probing the controversial ad blitz.

Noem has since started a new role as special envoy to the Shield of the Americas, where she is expected to focus on immigration and border security issues.

Bipartisan Senate bill to cap insulin for Americans at $35 has new momentum

    March 25, 2026 10:38am EDT / Fox News

A bipartisan group of senators is resurfacing legislation to cap many American patients’ insulin costs at $35 a month — the INSULIN Act of 2026 — reviving a push that previously stalled.

The bill, co-authored by Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., Susan Collins, R-Maine, Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., and John Kennedy, R-La., would bar group and individual health plans from imposing deductibles on selected insulin products and could not charge more than $35 for a 30-day supply starting in plan year 2027.

Beginning in 2028, patients would pay the lesser of $35 or 25% of the negotiated net price.

Congress had already mandated a Medicare-only cap of $35 in 2022, and President Donald Trump’s long-running agenda to lower prescription medicine costs gives the effort some momentum before the 2026 midterms, where Collins’ seat could be targeted for a Democrat flip amid the very narrow Republican Senate majority (53-47).

“We are the long-time chairs of the Senate Diabetes Caucus, and one of our top priorities is to make insulin more affordable,” Collins said in a Senate hearing last week.

“Our INSULIN Act would impose out-of-pocket limits for patients with commercial insurance, tackle commercial pharmacy benefit managers, and ensure that patients are the ones who are benefiting from the savings that they negotiate, and encourage biosimilar competition in order to lower list prices.”

The bill, first introduced in 2023, has been reworked at Kennedy and Warnock’s urging to include some work to provide capped insulin prices even for the uninsured.

“Our bill also includes provisions to help uninsured Americans access affordable insulin,” Collins continued. “Just this week, I met with a young woman who, a few years ago, ended up in the hospital because she was stretching out her insulin, not taking as much as she was prescribed, because she simply couldn’t afford the cost.”

    https://www.foxnews.com/video/6373494993112

The issue aligns with a 2024 Trump presidential campaign vow. Trump has already announced other initiatives to lower prescription drug prices, including an executive order last May on his “Most Favored Nation” (MNF) policy to take action on Big Pharma companies that are not offering the world’s lowest price on drugs to Americans.

“Americans should not be forced to subsidize low-cost prescription drugs and biologics in other developed countries, and face overcharges for the same products in the United States,” Trump’s policy ordered. “Americans must therefore have access to the most-favored-nation price for these products.”

“My Administration will take immediate steps to end global freeloading and, should drug manufacturers fail to offer American consumers the most-favored-nation’s lowest price, my Administration will take additional aggressive action.”

Then, this December, Trump announced agreements with nine Big Pharma companies to lower prices on Americans under the MFN policy, including offering direct to the consumer lowest pricing on TrumpRx, the president’s new prescription drug portal.

Collin and Shaheen’s legislation would also offer a limited cap on insulin for the uninsured — an issue reportedly driven by Warnock and Kennedy in the bipartisan group — creating a five-year pilot in 10 states to help uninsured patients get insulin for no more than $35 a month.

“We have already capped insulin for Medicare enrollees at $35 a month — this new INSULIN Act, which we plan to introduce next [this] week, will address insulin affordability for children, adults and those who are uninsured,” Shaheen said in a statement.

“It will do, as the Medicare provision does, cap the cost of employer and private insurance coverage of insulin at $35 a month, create a pilot program to provide $35 a month insulin for uninsured diabetes patients, and it is a direct way to help American families facing economic pressures, and will make people healthier in the long run.”

TRUMP’S RX PLAN PROMISES SAVINGS, BUT ECONOMISTS SEE A HIDDEN TRADE-OFF

    https://www.foxnews.com/video/6388925766112

While Collins might need the bill for her 2026 midterm election hopes, Shaheen is serving out her final year in the Senate.

“I would really like to be able to leave the Senate thinking that we had helped to address insulin costs for a lot of Americans: This is the most expensive chronic disease,” Shaheen told Semafor, noting Trump’s agenda for capping prices.

“This is something that he should support, because it is affordability.”

Affordability has been the Democrats’ buzzword for the midterms, but Republicans and Trump have argued it has only been an issue Democrats have made after years of inflation under former President Joe Biden.

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., was a part of the bipartisan Senate group pushing the INSULIN Act of 2026 to include provisions to lower insulin costs for the uninsured, too.(Anna Moneymaker / POOL / AFP)

The bill authorizes $100 million for fiscal 2027 for cost-cutting and defines “affordable” insulin as out-of-pocket costs of no more than $35 for a one-month supply.

Collins framed the measure as a response to patients rationing medicine they need to survive.

“I have heard far too many stories from people in Maine and across the country who have been forced to ration their insulin because of the cost, and that is simply unacceptable,” she told Semafor.

Beyond the consumer cap, the bill also tries to lower underlying costs by targeting pharmacy benefit manager practices and encouraging more competition from biosimilars and generics. It orders a federal study on delays in bringing insulin products to market and barriers to biosimilar uptake.

The proposal now faces the harder political test: winning buy-in from Senate leadership and finding a path to must-pass legislation later this year. But after years of failed starts, backers say they finally have a bipartisan framework that could move.

DeAgostini/Getty Images)

Skeleton of famed soldier who inspired “The Three Musketeers” possibly found in Dutch church

    Updated on: March 25, 2026 / 10:52 AM EDT / CBS/AFP

A skeleton which could belong to d’Artagnan, the French soldier who inspired the novel “The Three Musketeers,” has been discovered in a church in the Dutch city where he died centuries ago, local media reported Wednesday.

The skeleton was found in Maastricht, in the nave of a modern church whose origins date back to at least the 13th century, during repairs related to a partial floor collapse in February, reported L1 Nieuws, a media outlet in the province of Limburg.

Charles de Batz de Castelmore, known as d’Artagnan, the famous musketeer of Kings Louis XIII and Louis XIV, spent his life in the service of the French crown.

The Gascon nobleman inspired Alexandre Dumas’s hero in “The Three Musketeers” in the 19th century, a character now known worldwide thanks to the novel and numerous film adaptations.

D’Artagnan was killed during the siege of Maastricht in 1673, and there is a statue honoring the musketeer in the city. His final resting place has remained a mystery ever since.

A French coin was found near the skeleton in Maastricht, according to Deacon Jos Valke, who was present during the initial excavation.

“Furthermore, the location of the grave indicates that this was an important person: the skeleton was found where the altar used to be, and only royalty or other important figures were buried under an altar at that time,” he told L1 Nieuws.

Valke told the outlet that there are other clues that suggest the skeleton belongs to the famous French musketeer.

“The bullet that killed him lay at chest level. Exactly as described in the history books. The evidence is very strong,” he told L1 Nieuws.

The skeleton has been removed from the church and is now in an archaeological institute in Deventer, in eastern Germany, the outlet reported.

A DNA sample was taken from the skeleton on March 13 and is currently being analysed in a laboratory in Munich.

Archaeologist Wim Dijkman has been searching for d’Artagnan’s remains for 28 years.

“I’m always very cautious, I’m a scientist. But I have high expectations,” he told L1 Nieuws.

Dijkman told the outlet that DNA tests should be complete within the next few weeks.

“At the moment, all kinds of analyses and investigations are underway domestically and abroad,” he told L1 Nieuws. “It has really become a top-level investigation. We want to be absolutely certain that it is d’Artagnan.”
