Want to watch Super Bowl 2026 commercials early? These ads are already live.

Super Bowl LX is not only the NFL’s biggest stage in 2026 — it’s also a make-or-break broadcast for commercials, with the nation’s top brands spending millions on 30- and 60-second ads aimed at winning over an audience that could top 100 million viewers.

For companies, the reputational and financial stakes are high. Running a 30-second ad during this year’s Super Bowl will cost as much as $10 million, according to Bloomberg News. Advertisers also shell out millions more to produce their spots, often paying top dollar for celebrity spokespeople and to promote their commercials ahead of the big game.

The Feb. 8 game, which will pit the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots, will feature a host of returning advertisers, such as Budweiser and Pepsi, as well as new entrants, including health care company Ro and betting site Fanatics Sportsbook. Many advertisers are aiming for the funny bone this year, hoping to distract viewers from their concerns about the economyand polarized political views, experts said.

“Advertisers are seeing the Super Bowl as an opportunity to catch a break from all of that,” Sean Muller, CEO of advertising research firm iSpot, told CBS News. “They really want to get people to not worry for a few hours. I think that’s why humor has made such a surge.”

Humor was also in evidence inlast year’s Super Bowl ads, along with celebrity appearances, a trend expected to take center stage again in 2026, Muller said. Stars in this year’s crop of spots range from Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, who appears in a Bud Light commercial with singer Post Malone, to pop star Sabrina Carpenter, who stars in a Pringles ad.

Advertisers typically either pre-release their Super Bowl ad in the days before the game or post a teaser that’s aimed at getting viewers primed for their ad. Check out the already released ads and teasers below for Super Bowl 60.

The spot “hits all the right notes, featuring the beloved Clydesdales and an American bald eagle that speaks to unity and national pride,” Forbes noted.

In the ad, the Hollywood actor tries to convince “Friends” stars Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc and “Seinfeld” actor Jason Alexander to release the contents of a VHS tape labeled “Network Pilot ’95 v3.”

Presumably, Super Bowl 60 viewers will get a peek at that 1990s pilot when the actual commercial airs on Sunday. “The spot taps into peak Y2K energy,” Parade magazine said.

On Jan. 29, Fanatics Sportsbook posted that Jenner had wagered $1 million on the Patriots.

“If you’re tailing or fading Kendall Jenner’s $1 million Super Bowl bet, just know she and Fanatics won,” Sports Illustrated wroteabout the ad.

日本前首相安倍晋三遇刺案被告山上彻也对一审判决结果不服，或于星期三（2月4日）提出上诉。

新华社引述日本广播协会报道，山上被控2022年7月8日在奈良市街头使用自制枪支向正在街头演讲的安倍开枪，并致安倍死亡。山上对检方指控的杀人及违反枪支刀具法等罪行供认不讳。

今年1月21日，日本奈良地方法院判处山上无期徒刑。

据山上此前供述，他将安倍作为袭击目标，是因为安倍外祖父、前首相岸信介曾协助将“世界和平统一家庭联合会”（原“统一教会”）引入日本，而山上的母亲长期向该团体大量捐款，导致家庭陷入困境。

一审中的主要关注点在于山上能否因其成长经历减轻刑罚。

辩护团队主张判处山上最多20年监禁，认为被告犯罪与他的成长经历直接相关。检方则认为，被告的成长经历虽然不幸，但这并非大幅减刑的理由。法院最终采纳检方建议，判处山上无期徒刑。

日本消防与灾害管理厅星期二（2月3日）说，自1月20日至星期二，因暴雪造成的死亡人数达到30人。

近几周，一股强烈天气系统持续影响日本海沿岸，导致本州岛中部和北部部分地区降雪量超过常年水平的一倍以上。

在受灾最严重的北部青森县，部分地区降雪量高达4.5米，造成多起死亡事件。其中，一名91岁老妇的遗体被发现葬身于自家屋外约三米深的积雪中。警方认为，她被屋顶上的积雪砸中身亡。

官员称，青森市高达1.8米的积雪，导致政府官员无法上班。当地许多学校关闭，部分地区的公共交通服务暂停。

中央政府已出动自卫队支援地方应对灾情，首相高市早苗已指示各部门全力防止死亡人数进一步上升。

电视画面显示，居民不得不在厚雪中挖出狭窄通道行走，民众也尽力避免车辆陷入雪堆中。许多地方学校停课，部分地区公共交通服务也暂停。

Chuck Negron, voice behind Three Dog Night’s “Joy to the World” and other hits, dies at 83

Los Angeles— Chuck Negron, a founding member of Three Dog Night whose lead vocals powered a string of hits including “Joy to the World,” “One” and “An Old Fashioned Love Song” for one of the top rock acts of the late 1960s and early ’70s, died Monday. He was 83.

He died of complications from heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at his home in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to his publicist Zach Farnum.

Negron also sang lead on “Easy To Be Hard” and “The Show Must Go On.” The band’s other hits include “Black and White,” “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” “Never Been to Spain” and “Shambala.”

In December 1972, the band hosted and performed on the inaugural edition of Dick Clark’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

By 1975, album sales had declined and the band had its last Billboard Hot 100 hit with “Til the World Ends.” Internal strife fractured the group and it fell apart the next year.

In 1981, the group reunited, but Negron was dismissed in late 1985 because of recurring drug issues.

In 1967, Negron joined Danny Hutton and Cory Wells to form Three Dog Night, a vocal trio with roots in R&B, rock ‘n’ roll and urban doo wop. They found success two years later with their first million-selling single “One,” written by Harry Nilsson.

Negron engaged in heavy drug use during the band’s quick ascension to the top of the charts. He spent his fortune on drugs and even ended up on Los Angeles’ Skid Row for a time.

After numerous stints in rehab, he became sober in 1991 and went on to have a successful solo career, releasing seven albums between 1995 and 2017. His 1999 book, “Three Dog Nightmare,” detailed his ups and downs.

After decades of estrangement between him and Hutton, the two reconciled last year. Hutton and Michael Allsup are the lone surviving members.

Born Charles Negron II on June 8, 1942, he grew up in the Bronx singing in doo wop groups from an early age. His parents divorced when he was 2. He was recruited by California State University to play basketball, which brought him to Los Angeles, where he began working in the music industry.

In his later years, Negron toured despite having chronic COPD for three decades. The COVID-19 pandemic sidelined him permanently.

Negron is survived by wife Ami Albea Negron and five children, including Berry Oakley Jr., the son of Allman Brothers Band bassist Berry Oakley, who was killed in a 1972 motorcycle accident. Negron was for a time married to Julia Negron, the younger Oakley’s mother, and helped raise infant Berry Jr.

The ongoing partial government shutdown is now in its fourth day, but House GOP leaders are confident that the end is near.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is aiming to hold a chamber-wide procedural vote on the Senate’s funding compromise on Tuesday afternoon, teeing up a subsequent vote on final passage potentially later in the day.

It comes after he and President Donald Trump quelled a burgeoning rebellion by House conservatives who were threatening to tank the measure if an unrelated election integrity bill was not attached to the funding legislation.

House GOP leaders had been watching anxiously for signs of defections on a House-wide “rule vote” that appears to have been largely abated after the rebellion’s ringleader, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., told reporters she was backing off her threats on Monday night.

TRUMP, SCHUMER REACH GOVERNMENT FUNDING DEAL, SACRIFICE DHS SPENDING BILL IN THE PROCESS

A rule vote allows for lawmakers to open up debate on a given bill and normally falls on partisan lines, even if the underlying legislation has bipartisan support.

Under current House margins, Johnson can only lose support from one GOP lawmaker to still advance legislation on a party-line vote.

Meanwhile, Luna had corralled a group of conservatives to vote against advancing the rule if a bill called the SAVE America Act was not attached to the final funding bill.

The SAVE America Act would require voter ID for casting ballots in federal elections and mandate proof of citizenship in the voter registration process, among other election safeguards.

Luna and Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Fla., had both signaled to Fox News Digital that they would vote against the rule if it was not attached.

But such a move, if successful, would force the bill to be returned to the Senate, where Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., warned it would be dead on arrival.

Luna told reporters on Monday night that she and Burchett both changed their minds, however, after getting assurances from the White House that Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., would force a vote on the SAVE America Act.

“As of right now, with the current agreement that we have, as well as discussions, we will both be a yes on the rule,” Luna said. “There is something called a standing filibuster that would effectively allow Senator Thune to put voter ID on the floor of the Senate. We are hearing that that is going well, and he is considering that…so we are very happy about that.”

The Senate compromise would fully fund the departments of War, Health and Human Services (HHS), Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Education and Labor through the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30, lining up with previously passed spending bills.

But Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding would only see current levels extended for two weeks in order to give Democrats and Republicans time to negotiate a bill that would more significantly rein in Trump’s immigration crackdown.

It passed the Senate on Friday after Democrats there walked away from an earlier bipartisan deal that would have also fully funded DHS. Left-wing lawmakers demanded further guardrails on Trump’s immigration enforcement after the second of two U.S. citizens were shot and killed by federal agents in Minneapolis during anti-Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protests there.

And despite House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., indicating to Johnson that Democrats would not help him pass the new deal, there are some signs that it will get bipartisan support.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., the top Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, said she would vote for the legislation after voting against the original House-passed deal.

“I will take those ten days and see what we can get,” she said of the stopgap funding for DHS. “And at the end of those ten days, if if we can’t decide to go with it, then it’s a no vote, and Department of Homeland Security is shuttered…but not the other five bills because they’re good bills with good things for the people that we care about.”

In the meantime, nearly 14,000 air traffic controllers are expected to work without pay. Members of the military could also miss paychecks if the shutdown goes on long enough, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will be limited in its ability to communicate public health updates to Americans.

X office in France searched as Paris prosecutor summons Elon Musk for questioning

Paris, France — French authorities have asked Elon Musk to appear to answer questions as part of a probe into his social media platform X, the Paris prosecutor’s office said Monday, as authorities searched X’s office in the French capital.

“Summons for voluntary interviews on April 20, 2026, in Paris have been sent to Mr. Elon Musk and Ms. Linda Yaccarino, in their capacity as de facto and de jure managers of the X platform at the time of the events,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

French cybercrime authorities were carrying out a search, meanwhile, at X’s offices in Paris, the prosecutor’s office said.

The summonses for Musk and Yaccarino and the search at the X office were related to an investigation launched in January 2025 over complaints about how X’s algorithm recommends content to users and gathers data, the prosecutor’s office said. Officials have previously raised concern that the way X works could amount to political interference.

The investigation is to ensure that X is in compliance with French laws, and the prosecutor added that it was broadened last year after reports that X was allowing users to share nonconsensual, AI-generated sexually explicit imagery, and holocaust denial content.

X and Musk have dismissed the French investigation, and similar probes by European Union and British authorities, as baseless, politically motivated attacks on free speech.

Yaccarino resigned as CEO of X in July last year after two years at the helm of the company.

The investigation is being led by the cybercrime unit of the prosecutor’s office, in conjunction with French police and the joint European policing agency Europol.

A CBS News investigation found late last month that the Grok AI tool on Musk’s X platform still allowed users in the U.S., U.K. and EU to digitally undress people without their consent, despite public pledges from the company to stop the function.

The Grok chatbot, both via its standalone app and for premium X account holders using the platform, allowed people to use artificial intelligence to edit images of real people and show them in revealing clothing such as bikinis.

A request for comment on the findings of CBS News’ investigation was met with an apparent auto-reply from Musk’s company xAI, saying only: “Legacy media lies.”

Scrutiny of the Grok feature has mounted rapidly in recent months, with the British government warning X could face a U.K.-wide ban if it fails to block the “bikini-fy” tool, and EU regulators announcing their own investigation into the Grok AI editing function on in late January.

CBS News found Grok was still enabling users to digitally undress people in photos weeks after X said, earlier in January, that it had, “implemented technological measures to prevent the [@]Grok account on X globally from allowing the editing of images of real people in revealing clothing such as bikinis. This restriction applies to all users, including paid subscribers.”

奥巴马在社交媒体平台X上发文说：“如果国会不采取行动，美俄之间最后一项核军控条约将到期失效……这将毫无必要地抹杀数十年的外交努力，并可能引发新一轮军备竞赛，使世界变得更加不安全。”

Speedskater Erin Jackson, bobsledder Frank Del Duca chosen as U.S. flagbearers for Winter Olympics

Speedskater Erin Jackson and bobsledder Frank Del Duca have been chosen as the U.S. flagbearers for the Milan Cortina Olympics opening ceremony on Friday.

Jackson is the first Black woman to win an individual gold medal at a Winter Olympics. Del Duca, a sergeant in the Army, is the first bobsledder in 70 years to carry the U.S. flag. Jackson and Del Duca were selected by a vote of fellow Team USA athletes.

“Being chosen to represent the United States on the world stage is a tremendous honor,” Jackson said. “It’s a moment that reflects far more than one individual – it represents my family, my teammates, my hometown, and everyone across the country who believes in the power of sport.”

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced the names on Tuesday. It’s the third Olympics for Jackson, the second for Del Duca.

Del Duca, with deep Italian roots, finds the opportunity especially meaningful as the games are in Italy.

“With the Olympic Games being held in Italy, it means even more,” Del Duca said. “Nearly everyone in my family is of Italian descent. There is no greater honor than leading Team USA into the Opening Ceremony in Italy. It feels like a bridge between my family’s heritage, and the country I’m so proud to serve.”

The opening ceremony will be unique, with events spread across several Italian cities.

U.S. bobsledder Elana Meyers Taylor was picked to carry the American flag into the opening ceremony at the 2022 Beijing Olympics but tested positive for COVID-19 – forcing the postponement of her flag-carrying chance until the closing ceremony of those Winter Games. She was replaced at the Beijing opening by speedskater Brittany Bowe, and this time, it’s Jackson’s turn to have that moment.

Jackson becomes the eighth U.S. speedskater in history to earn the honor of Team USA flag bearer, while Del Duca becomes the sixth bobsledder to carry the flag.
