Does the Senate spend too much time out of Washington?
Sen. Rick Scott (R-Florida) thinks so. In a Fox News op-ed published Monday, the hard-line conservative asserted that the upper chamber takes too many recesses and has too short of a workweek. He noted that senators often call it a week by Thursday afternoon to fly home and that the Senate has spent only 79 days in session this year.
