CNN global affairs analyst Karim Sadjadpour says Trump had four major goals when he launched the war in Iran: obliterating Iran’s nuclear program; razing its missile program down to the ground; defanging its regional proxies; and potentially unseating the Iranian regime. He says the framework for a deal—that Trump says was signed yesterday—is “a resolution that has not resolved any of the major sources of tension.”
